Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning also called epidermal levelling is a quick, simple, pain free and safe procedure. Dermaplanning is a form of manual exfoliation that will temporarily remove any dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) from the face giving the skin a smoother, even and more radiant appearance.

If you are looking for a smoother and brighter complexion, this treatment will do wonders for your skin.

WHAT IS DERMAPLANNNG?

Dermaplaning is a skin treatment that uses an exfoliating blade to skim dead skin cells and hair from your face.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Immediately after your dermaplaning treatment, your skin will look wonderfully radiant with a more even skin tone. An extra benefit is that dermaplaning removes ’peach fuzz’, which is the clear/white soft, fine facial hair. Your skin will feel the smoothest it’s ever been!

WHO CAN HAVE DERMAPLANING ?

We recommend this for anyone, as the results really are amazing. We would advise that people with active acne avoid this treatment and wait until breakouts are clear. Please discuss any allergies or skin sensitivities with your beauty therapist.

DERMAPLANING FAQs

  • We will start your treatment with cleansing your skin and then proceed with the blade to start the manual exfoliation. After this, we will finish off your treatment using skincare that is best suited to your skin type.

  • Your skin may feel sensitive after treatment, which is completely normal. You should avoid sun exposure and make-up for 12 hours afterwards. We advise to use a mild cleanser for 2-3 days after your treatment, to ensure you are not irritating your skin. You may also use a hydrating cream at night, as your skin will be more absorbent to anything you place on your skin. We always highly recommend to wear an SPF Sunscreen after any facial treatment.

  • No, it will not. In the Dermaplaning treatment, we only remove the top layer or skin and hair know as β€˜peach fuzz’.

  • We recommend every 4-6 weeks.
